On the occasion of Zero Impact Packaging, held on 24 June 2026, Thomas Karbowiak was inducted into the Stratégies Emballages Club, which recognizes individuals whose commitment and contributions are driving innovation in the packaging sector.

This distinction recognizes his scientific career dedicated to dealing with key challenges in food packaging, including food preservation, food waste reduction, food–packaging interactions, and the development of more sustainable packaging solutions. It also highlights the research carried out at PAM lab, as well as the France 2030 ANR NEXTFOODPACK project, coordinated by Thomas Karbowiak, which aims to develop the next generation of food packaging solutions.
