CASSISMATIC

The CASSISMATIC project aims to promote the use of blackcurrant processing by-products, particularly blackcurrant pomace (known as gennes), which is rich in beneficial molecules such as polyphenols, anthocyanins and polysaccharides. Currently, these blackcurrant by-products are used in animal feed or methanisation, but do not generate any financial benefit for blackcurrant processors. The aim of the CASSISMATIC project is to explore new avenues for adding value in sectors with higher added value: cosmetics and materials.
