In 2026, PAM lab joined the Ferments du Futur distributed platform.
Established in 2022 with seven partner research units, the distributed platform now brings together nine research units located across France.
The distributed platform connects academic teams working closely with Ferments du Futur. It brings together complementary expertise in food microbiology, process engineering, food–microbiota–health interactions, and data science. Within these research units, Ferments du Futur funds new scientific equipment and dedicated staff involved in collaborative research projects, supporting close links between academic research and innovation.
At PAM lab, this support will enable the acquisition of equipment dedicated to the separation and purification of small molecules, complementing the unit's expertise in Downstream Processing (DSP). DSP encompasses all processing steps performed after fermentation or bioproduction to recover, separate, purify, and concentrate target compounds such as metabolites, proteins, peptides, and other molecules of interest. These new facilities will strengthen PAM's capabilities in developing purification processes for Ferments du Futur collaborative projects.
